Hey Chicago! Have You Tried Eat Purely?

It’s no secret that I am obsessed with food and trying new things. My friends also know that I’m not much of a cook. Breakfast on the weekends is pretty much the only time I cook my own food and eat at home. If I do eat at home for dinner, I make a turkey sandwich or heat up some Campbell’s soup. It’s a solid turkey sandwich, but I’m not going to brag about it.

For Christmas, I received a $100 gift card to Eat Purely. I had heard of Eat Purely before, but never did my research on just how amazing their service is. After diving deeper into their website, reading reviews online, and talking to my coworkers about their experience, I knew this was going to solve my boring dinner problems.

Eat Purely delivers healthy, delicious and organic pre-made meals directly to your doorstep in 20 minutes in the Chicagoland area. You can also schedule a delivery, which is what I did a few nights ago when I tried Eat Purely for the first time. There were so many great options for dinner, it was hard to pick what I wanted!

I ended up choosing the Moroccan Chicken. It seemed like it would be a filling, tasty dish. I set the delivery time between 7-8pm, and I got a text at 6:50pm saying they were on their way with my food and wanted to verify I was going to be home. Of course I was, I couldn’t wait to try this meal.

Eat Purely has artisan chefs that cook up lunch, dinner and now dessert plates everyday. Their meals are made without GMOs, preservatives or chemicals. All the ingredients they use are locally sourced, which is another bonus. The meals arrive chilled so they stay fresh, and all you need to do is heat them up in the microwave or oven. SO simple!

Eat Purely was kind enough to send along a hand-written note from their CEO, which I thought was an awesome touch. The meal also came with directions and nutritional facts.

I was nervous to put the tray in the oven as I missed the part where it said right on the cover that the tray was in fact oven-safe. It doesn’t seem like it should be, but you don’t have to worry about that! I opted to put my dish in the oven because food always comes out more crispy after being in the oven vs. the microwave. It said it needed 10-12 minutes, but I found that the dish needed a little longer in the oven. I put this particular dish in for an additional 7 minutes.

After about 20 minutes in the oven, dinner was served! It made my apartment smell amazing. I scarfed it all down before realizing I never took a nice picture of it plated. It was the perfect amount of food for my dinner. The spices they put on the chicken made this dish. I was a happy, full lady. And I barely had to lift a finger to make it! That’s the best part.

The Moroccan Chicken is just one of their awesome variety of dishes. I took a peak today and saw they had a Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad, Tennessee BBQ Chicken, Tagliatelle with Braised Short Rib, and more! And what you see is exactly what you get – the appetizing pictures and details they show on their website is what can be in your kitchen.

I can definitely see Eat Purely helping me to eat better, and eat more deliciously for dinner. Eat Purely’s mission is to “inspire and enable healthy living.” I say they are doing a great job! I can’t wait to try more meals. The Turkey Bolognese is next on my list for dinner tomorrow 🙂
